Hoodia Information
Hoodia Gordonii is from a cacti plant found in South Africa. It has been used by natives for thousands of years and has been studied by scientists for the last 30 years. It is said that this natural substance takes away appetite. It is marketed under several brands including TrimSpa & Hoodia Balance.
How Does Hoodia Work?
It works by turning the appetite off by telling your brain that you are full. The active ingredient is p57 but this component is difficult if not impossible to isolate so the plant is used as the main compound.
Hoodia Side Effects, If Any
There have been no definite side effects reported. One article stated that Hoodia had negative effects on the liver so those with liver problems should consult a physician first. In fact, every person should contact his or her physician before started a weight loss or diet pill. There have been no human trials with Hoodia just many people who have used the product and claim it worked for them.

“I have had amazing results in just three days. I used to eat five to six meals a day, mixed complex carbs/proteins at around 400 calories each (plus cheating). Now, I'm down to around 250 calories a meal with no cheating. No ice cream, chocolate, you name it. I have to remind myself to eat some meals.
