Hydroxycut originally used ephedra to burn fat but when that ingredient was banned by the FDA, Hydroxycut stopped using it. Hydroxycut features carb-blocking compounds. Hydroxycut is usually used with vigorous physical exercise and geared more towards the very active person.

How Hydroxycut Works
There are three major sets of ingredients: Hydroxagen Plus; Hydroxy Tea; and Calcium, Chromium, and Potassium. Hydroxagen Plus suppresses appetite by telling your stomach that it’s full and enhances fat-burning. Hydroxy Tea is mainly made up of green tea that increases your metabolism and reduces appetite. Calcium, Chromium, and Potassium enhance the supplement by reducing hunger pangs, increasing metabolism, and preventing fat storage.

Hydroxycut Side Effects, If Any
Hydroxycut may increase your blood pressure and heart rate. Headaches, nose bleeds, and acne are the reported side effects. People with high blood pressure should not take hydroxycut. Also, some have reported minor addictions being created from regular use.

“I have been taking Hydroxycut for aprox. 6 months and have loss 70 pounds. I think it is a good supplement to a healthy diet and regular exercise. I do 45 mins a cardio daily and train with a personal trainer 3 times a week. I love the extra energy Hydroxycut provides me with, however the downfall of the pill has been headaches if I pass the normal time that I take it. I attribute this to the caffeine in it, which would be similar to a coffee addict missing their AM coffee. I take 2 pills in the morning and 2 pills around lunchtime; I do not take any in the evening due to prior issues with not being able to fall asleep. Overall it has been an excellent dietary aid for me.”

“I used this product about 5 years ago. For the most part, I ran about 40 min/day 5 days a week and used a program called crosstrainer II to watch my calorie/fat intake. I didn't watch carbs at all. And that is all I did. In 3 months I went from 220 lbs to 185lbs. Well I messed up a muscle in my shoulder playing volleyball and stopped working out all together and gained all the weight back over 5 years. I started back on my same routine a month ago and have lost 10 lbs, I hope to be back around 190 in the next couple months. Hydroxycut does mess with your body a bit for the first couple weeks. Dizzy, Hyper feeling, but that all passes (At least it did for me). I only used 2 72ct. bottles last time and only plan on that this time. I do recommend this product.”
